The club had a successful time at the Brett Ashford 10k on Sunday, with two of the club’s runners finishing in the top 3 places. Dan Green ran a very strong race to finish 1st in a time of 39:41 on the tough multi-terrain course. Jonny Wells continued his excellent 2016, with 3rd place in 42:12.
Anthony Brown finished the half marathon distance in 26th in a time of 1:38:06.
Rik Holden ran an excellent raceĀ in the Owler Marathon on Sunday. On the 2 lap multi-terrain course around the Conningbrook Lakes country park and the roads around Brook, Rik finished in 10th place overall and the 6th M40 in a time of 3:35:48.
There were plenty of excellent performances at the latest Ashford parkrun on Saturday, with Robert Latala producing a personal best performance to finish in 2nd place in a time of 16:09, and Shane Dragwidge dipping under 20 minutes for the first time as he finished 8th in 19:54. Scott Lynch was just behind in 9th place in 20:04, Richard Baker 11th in 20:23 and Mark Attenborough 15th in 20:54. Will Whittington ran another personal best to finish 31st in 24:01, Simon Jackson finished 50th in 25:25, Mark Carlton in 25:43 and Ann Fidge finished 2nd in her age category in 31:20.
