In the first race of 2017, five of the club’s runners took part in the Lamberhurst 10k on New Year’s day. On a challenging course which include some tough hill sections, CJ Lattimer was the first home for the club as he finished in 9th place in a time of 38:13, followed in by Dean Bracken in 21st place in 41:38. Danyel Giles finished as the 10th lady in the race in a time of 47:14, with Jo Lattimer the 11th lady finisher in 47:52, and Stu Nunn finished in 86th place in 50:35.
Stu Nunn knocked over 8 minutes from his personal best as he came home in a time of 1:18:49 and 94th place in the Staplehurst 10 mile race last Tuesday.
