Apologies for the lack of results feedback over the last couple of weeks so here’s a quick update and we hope to resume normal service from here on.
Late May was busy; Keith Haynes ran the Bupa 10k in a PB time of 40:36 knocking more than a minute and a half off his previous best time. Six club members ran the Littlestone 10k; Mark Attenborough (42:32), Dexter Hogben (43:49), Anthony Brown (43:52), Jo Faux (47:19), Steve Hickman (57:56) and Andrew Smith (57:56) knocking a massive 4 minutes off his PB. Helen Weeden ran the Rye 10 Mile finishing in 1:38:12. Steve Hickman ran his 111th marathon (the Ox Marathon) taking in some tough hills and completing the course in 5:03:00.
Six club members ran the Folkestone Coastal 10k on a very wet and windy Sunday morning; Chris Boyce (38:45), Robert Carpenter (40:02), Keith Haynes (41:23), Dexter Hogben (44:05), Steve Wellsted (55:28), Andrew Smith (58:03).
June has started well with the club bringing home the team prize at the Samphire Hoe 5k. CJ Lattimer finished 1st in 17:29, Chris Boyce was 3rd in 18:09, Dean Bracken finished 5th in 18:57 and Steve Hickman completed the quartet in 24:54. Ingvild Firth ran a PB at the Bedgebury 10k in 52:32 whilst Jeremy Chambers completed the half marathon event in 2:46:00. Lastly Steve Hickman finished a hilly Needles XC half marathon on the IOW in 2:02:00.
