Kevan James made an impressive return to racing last Sunday, as he took part in the Romney Marsh 10k in very hot conditions on the fast flat course around New Romney. Kevan, returned to racing after injury and illness to finish in 10th place overall and was 1st in the MaleVet55 category, as he came home in 41:21. Stu Nunn, running as a MaleVet40 for the first time, came home in 72nd place in a time of 50:45.
At the latest Ashford summer series 5k held at Victoria park last Friday night, Paul Moses finished 3rd overall and 1st in his age category, as he came home in a time of 20:32. The club’s ladies had an impressive evening’s performances, as Danyel Giles once again broke another personal best, as she finished 9th overall and 2nd in her age category in a time of 22:05, closely followed by Gill O’Connor who finished 10th and first in her age category in 22:17. Christine Costiff finished 15th in a time of 22:54, Andrew Smith 20th in 25:59, and Julie Foster 24th in 27:22.
Held at the same time as the 5k, Daniel Green finished 5th overall and 1st maleVet40, as he came home in a time of 38:43 in the Ashford Summer Series 10k.
