Bank holiday Monday saw Jon Wells produce another excellent performance; this time at the Sevenoaks 7 race. Held at Knole park, the runners ran the rarely run distance of 7 miles on a challenging multi terrain course in hot conditions. Jon finished in an impressive 11th place overall in a time of 46:53, a new personal best for him.

Monday also saw the running of the popular Canterbury Half marathon, which always offers a challenge to the runners, especially the  very tough hill section between miles 10 and 11. The club had two runners in the race, Christine Costiff who finished 118th in a time of 1:51:29, and Gill O’Connor who finished 119th also in 1:51:29.
