The only club runner competing last weekend was Richard Baker who took on the challenge of the Chilham Castle 10k last Sunday. Run around the beautiful surroundings of Chilham Castle on a tough off-road course, Richard finished 9th and was 3rd v40 male in a time of 50:17. Great stuff Richard!
Ashford Park Run remains popular with club members and it’s a credit to the club that A&D continue to support this local regular event. Last Saturday Paul Moses followed up his excellent run in the Givaudan 10k the previous Sunday with yet another PB. Paul went under 19 minutes for the first time in a 5k, as he finished 5th in a time of 18:58. Jon Wells was the next club runner home as he finished 9th in a time of 19:51, closely followed by Dean Bracken in 10th place in 20:12. Robert Carpenter finished 15th in 21:09, just in front of Scott Lynch in 16th place in 21:10, followed by Mark Attenborough who came home in 32nd place in a time of 23:21. Kate Williams had a strong race finishing 6th lady home in a time of 24:22, and Lisa Bracken was the 9th lady finisher as she ran a time of 24:52. Richard Baker was next home as he completed the course in a time of 24:58, Keith Haynes ran 27:35, and Julie Foster, slowly coming back to full fitness ran an excellent race to finish in 29:38. John Fidge finished in 36:00 and Ann Fidge in a time of 43:25.
