BUSY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND WITH 50 A&D CLUB MEMBERS IN ACTION.
Christine Costiff and Gill O’Conner travelled to sunny Milton Keynes to complete the MK Half Marathon.
Starting and finishing at the home of MK Dons Football Club, Stadium MK, Christine Costiff came home in 1hr:53m:33s finishing 1st in age category with Gill O’Connor following in 2hrs:00m:29s.
Becky Macey ran the Hildenborough 10 miler on Bank Holiday Monday. Opposed to many other races, the Hildenborough 10 took place in the afternoon so competitors had to battle through the highest temperatures of the day which made conditions difficult, but Macey finished in 1hr:20m:26s finishing 16th overall.

Meanwhile, Stuart Nunn finished the Whitstable 10k in 47m:28s (108th) and Kirsty Farrant in 1hr:06m:06s (538th).
Ashford Park Run – Saturday 5th May 2018
Over 300 runners took part in the towns parkrun on Saturday with A&D providing 36 competitors. In a close race, Robert Latala was pipped to the post by Ashford AC’s Marshall Smith with Latala finishing in 16m:39s (2nd), just 8 seconds behind the winner.
Jon Pearce, Carl Jones and Trevor Kay followed in 17m:01s (3rd and a personal best), 17m:36s (4th and also a personal best) and 17m:49s (5th) respectively.
Personal bests seemed to be the order of the day as Tomasz Latala also achieved his fastest time in 18m:21s (7th) with Dan Green completing his 150th parkrun in 18m:27s (8th). Pauls Moses just finished outside the top ten in 19m:27s (11th), Jon Wells followed in 19m:33s (13th) and Scott Lynch in 19m:38s (16th).
Rob Barton was next up finishing in 20m:14s (20th), Richard Baker in 20m:23s (23rd), Robert Carpenter 20m:37s (26th), Keith Haynes 20m:57s (29th), Dean Bracken 21m:15s (34th) and Becky Macey with a personal best of 21m:16s (35th)
Mark Carlton finished in 22m:36s (48th), Hazel Turner 23m:05s (56th), Stuart Nunn on his 50th parkrun 23m:44s (71st), James Chapman 23m:46s (72nd) and Thomas Head 23m:55s (76th).
Sandi Mortimer also achieved a personal best of 24m:20s (87th), Terry Sellen completed his 175th parkrun in 24m:27s (88th), Mark Cleworth finished in a PB of 24m:29s (89th), Will Whittington 24m:36s (92nd), Trevor Sparkes 24m:57s PB (96th), Mark Boorer 26m:05s (116th), Jaclyn Kay 26m:19s (121st) and Chloe Green in a PB of 26m:35s (130th).
Keith Lynn finished in 26m:49s (139th), Simon Jackson 26m:56s (143rd), Lisa Jones 28m:19s PB (165th), Shaun Snowwolf 29m:59s (190th), Becky Hodgson 32m:21s (218th), Lesley Moody 32m:42s (219th) and Rachel Jenkins in 46m:21s (299th).
Meanwhile around the country – Christine and Nigel Costiff completed the Roundshaw Downs parkrun in 23m:42s (33rd) and 35m:20s (122nd) respectively. Gill O’Connor ran the Riddlesdown parkrun in 23m:23s (35th). Anthony Brown ran the Nobles parkrun on the Isle of Man in 22m:49s (7th), John Fidge took part in the Houghton Hall parkrun and finished in 26m:49s (61st) and finally Andrew Noble came 6th at the Folkestone parkrun in a time of 18m:49s.
